Owners - Mike and Kim Bradshaw – Mike literally grew up at Handi-cap Aids. As a high school Junior, in the Edmond Memorial High School DECA program,
Mike came to work for HCA in 1981. His first glamorous job was sweeping the shop floor (a task he STILL knows how to do!). Over the years, Mike held various positions of increasing responsibility, always with the goal of owning the company. In 2002, Mike and his wife Kim purchased Handi-cap Aids. Kim joined the mobility industry in 2002, when she and Mike became the owners. When they take a break from business, you might find Mike and Kim sailing on Lake Hefner or trying to catch fish…anywhere!
Dennis Madden – With more than 30 years experience in Sales and Management, Dennis joined HCA in January 2005, and has used his skills to help us expand. He has a busy extended family to keep him constantly on the go. Dennis’ family experiences also give him an understanding and appreciation of the needs and challenges faced by those with disabilities. In his rare free time, Dennis enjoys going to concerts and watching college sports and horseracing. He’s also a great cook! (Sorry, ladies…he’s taken.)
Richard Bradshaw – With more than 40 years of accounting experience, Richard was “lured’ out of retirement (and motor home travel) in March 2003, to become Mike’s company accountant. Richard handles all phases of accounting for both companies, including accounts receivable and payable. Weather permitting, you might find Richard with his rod and reel, looking for the perfect spot to catch a big bass. Richard is Mike’s dad.
Pat Bradshaw – Pat joined HCA in March 2003, with more than 30 years experience in Management, Customer Service, and Sales. She enjoys the variety of her job and the chance to use different skills. When she is not working, travel is always Pat’s first choice for leisure time, especially car trips with the music blaring…and occasional casino detours. Pat is Mike’s stepmom.
Chris Baker – As a trained and certified mobility technician and certified welder, Chris has been helping HCA customers since March 2000. His typical day includes installing wheelchair lifts and other types of mobility equipment, plus diagnosing and repairing older equipment. Chris says he would do this work for free if he could afford to. After hours, he might be spotted playing with his new grandson. Chris also enjoys cooking, and makes his fabulous chicken and noodles every year for our Christmas luncheon. (Hey, ladies…he’s single!)
Jeff Burke – Jeff joined HCA in June 2005, with more than 20 years experience in building, servicing, operating, and repairing heavy equipment. As a trained and certified mobility technician and certified welder, Jeff works with minivan conversions, installs hand controls, and installs and services other mobility equipment. His great summer tan comes from evenings and weekends racing his sailboat on Lake Hefner, hoping for perfect winds.
